Clarizon has developed and is commercialising a breakthrough technology for generating ozone using a patented electrochemical catalyst.
Ozone is used in a wide range of applications, including: municipal water treatment, waste treatment, bottled water disinfection, food preservation/disinfection, laundry, air conditioning system disinfection and many industrial processes, such as paper bleaching and semiconductor processing. It is a stronger oxidising agent and disinfectant than chlorine, decomposes rapidly to oxygen (leaving no pollution) and breaks down organic pollutants (such as contraceptive chemicals).

BioFresh Ltd is a dynamic growing organisation at the forefront of developments in the Agri-food Sector. BioFresh (partnered with a global gas supply company: Air Products) markets an Ethylene Management System that reliably monitors and controls ethylene concentrations in potato stores - preventing sprouting in storage without the application of traditional chemical treatments. The company is also pioneering the use of ozone enrichment for the preservation of fresh produce in storage/transit, and the company has recently been granted the first and only UK licence to conduct commercial trials. Research has shown that ozone treatment suppresses microbial activity and vaccinates produce against subsequent infection, improving shelf-life and preventing cross-contamination of produce in storage/transit.
